ROGUE RIDERS: Boda Boda riders in Kisumu risk passengers' lives ignorantly

There is no doubt that Boda Bodas have become one of the most used means of transport in Kenya. Many youths have gained employment by taking loans and buying motorcycles to be used as boda bodas.

Through campaigns on TV and on newspapers, Kenyans have been informed of the dangers of not using helmets when being carried by a boda boda.

They have also been sensitized on the right number of people to be carried at once.However in Kisumu, a group of rogue riders continue to risk the lives of their passengers who include children by crossing major roads in undesignated areas, carrying excess luggage and riding on the wrong side of the road while carrying people.

According to statistics, many passengers who use boda bodas have ended up being victims of grisly accidents, just because of ignorant boda boda operators.
