The management board of the troubled Kirinyaga Water and Sanitation Company (KIRIWASCO) has been dissolved over alleged gross mismanagement of resources.
Consequently, Njue Gicone has been appointed managing director for six months, replacing Njoka Muturi who was sent on compulsory leave on February 22.
Gicone emerged number one when the company conducted interviews for the job last year. Muturi, who came second, was preferred by the board.
The nine-man board members led by their chairman Waweru Gatibiri were served with their dismissal letters from the Tana Water Services Board
