Kigumo, Kenya: Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has called for action against ICC witnesses who have claimed they gave false information.
Speaking in his constituency during the disbursement of Sh4 million in support of needy university students, Mr Kamau said tough action should be taken against witnesses the court has declared hostile after claiming they gave false testimony.
The issue of lies at the ICC emerged during the trial of Deputy President William Ruto at The Hague-based court.
“Even individuals who coached the witnesses in plotting to adduce false evidence should be punished,” said the lawmaker.
Kamau pleaded with the ICC to drop charges against President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy.
