Kiambu tipped for social media award

The Kiambu government has been nominated in the upcoming social media awards as among the most active on social media.

The Kenya Social Media Awards (Soma), now in its second year, is an annual event tailored towards celebrating the growing influence of social media in Kenya.

"Kiambu has been nominated under the Most Active County Government category because it shares useful county information with its residents and the general public," said Machel Waikenda, the county executive for Youth, Sports and Commutation.

The awards celebrate the best users of social media.
