Vihiga Queens on Tuesday defeated Ulinzi Starlets 2-0 at Utalii Grounds to maintain their perfect start in the FKF Women’s Premier League.

Harambee Starlets striker Terry Engesha scored a goal in each half to hand the three-time Kenyan champions their second win of the new season.

Engesha opened the scoring for the visitors just 11 minutes in the game with a well-taken free kick that gave Vihiga Queens the cutting edge in the game as they took a narrow 1-0 lead into the break.

In final half, Ulinzi Starlets started off better than they did in the first half as they attempted to get a quick equalizer but it was Vihiga Queens who struck the nail.

Engesha was put through with only the goalkeeper, rounding off Valentine Khwaka before slotting home with her left foot to complete her brace and double the advantage for her side.
