Muhoroni Youth's historic KPL Top 8 Knockout Tournament 1-0 final triumph over deposed champions Gor Mahia was marred by hooliganism at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday.
It's Kennedy Rono's 62nd minute goal that Tom Juma's men needed to lift their first ever silverware.
But it's a scuffle between Kenyan Premier League head of Security Committee GMT Ottieno and Gor Mahia fitness trainer Sandro Fantoni late in the game that spoilt what was to be a savouring moment for Muhoroni players, technical bench members and fans.
GMT and Fantoni confronted each other on the touchline before it turned physical forcing the centre referee Anthony Ogwayo to prematurely end the game with two minutes to go.
This was the second hooliganism incident of the afternoon after the referee temporarily halted the game for over ten minutes in the 81st minute after a section of Gor Mahia fans from the Russia side started throwing missiles on the pitch protesting coach Jose Marcelo's decision to bring on striker Jacob Keli for defender Karim Nizigiyimana.

What followed after the final whistle left everybody including journalists scrambling for bottles of water as police fired tear gas in the stadium trying to disperse the rowdy fans who had already made their way to the pitch forcing the organisers to cancel the trophy presentation ceremony?
Commenting on the incident, KPL Chief Executive Officer Jack Oguda said Gor Mahia, GMT and Fantoni will face a disciplinary action over their conduct at the league's Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee.
"GMT, Fantoni and Gor Mahia have a case to answer. This is a hooliganism case that will be dealt by IDCC," Oguda told Feverpitch.
Gor could have taken the lead in the 27th minute, but Jacques Tuyisenge's goal was ruled offside before Eric Ouma's attempted dangerous cross from the left was deflected for a fruitless corner.
Gor coach Jose Marcelo was forced to make an early substitution on the stroke of halftime, bringing on Godfrey Walusimbi for injured Ernest Wendo.
Tuyisenge had a chance to break the deadlock two minutes into the second half, but he was denied by the post.
In the 62nd minute, Kennedy Rono capitalised on Gor's defensive blunder by calmly slotting the ball past the advancing goalkeeper Jerim Onyango.
Moses Arita should have doubled the lead moments later, but his long range surprise shot went wide before Tuyisenge's effort in the box was brilliantly blocked by Muhoroni defender Mike Simiyu.
In the 74th minute, Francis Kahata saw his feeble shot go directly at goalkeeper Farouk Shikalo after a perfect wall-pass from George Odhiambo before Shikalo pulled off a stunning double save to deny substitute Baron Oketch.
Oketch had a chance to draw level immediately after calm was restored thanks to Gor's stewards but the former Western Stima man's shot was easily picked up by Shikalo.
Two minutes later, Shikalo had to be at full stretch to parry away Tuyisenge's well curved free kick before Keli's shot missed target by inches.
With two minutes to go, the referee had to blow off the final whistle after GMT and Fantoni started squaring out on the touchline.
