A 37-year-old man allegedly killed his girlfriend and surrendered to police in Njoro, Nakuru County.
The incident happened at Huruma Estate.
Joseph Kipkurui, a pharmacist based at the Egerton University allegedly stabbed Purity Mumbi, 22, five times with a kitchen knife at his house in Njoro town.
Njoro OCPD Jonathan Kisaka confirmed the incident saying the suspect surrendered himself to the police at around 3 am on Thursday and confessed that he had killed the lady.

The suspect has been taken to Gilgil Mental Hospital for mental assessment and will be arraigned on Monday, police said.
