The family of hotelier and businessman Joseph Muya is mourning their son who died in a road accident at the weekend.
According to a family member, Simon Muya was driving a tour van when he was involved in an accident at Kiundu area along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway.
Eye witnesses say the van had run over a pedestrian, who also died on the spot. The driver lost control of the vehicle which then veered off the road.
“He rammed a stationary truck whose impact killed him on the spot,” said Charles Njoroge, a relative.
A man who was in the van when the accident happened, was injured and taken to Nakuru Level Five Hospital.
