Laikipia, Kenya: Shock engulfed residents of Kahuruko village in Laikipia County after a nine year-old girl was defiled and brutally murdered on Sunday evening.
According to area Administration Police boss Ndegwa Githinji, the girl who was in the company of her mother was heading home from church when she decided to relive herself in the bush where she was attacked.
Githinji said two boys aged 15 and 16 approached and defiled her repeatedly and later killed and dumped the injured body of the minor in the thick bush.
He said the brutal suspects tied her mouth with a piece of cloth making it difficult for her to cry for help.
"The deceased was walking home with her mother when she entered the bush to relieve herself but she unfortunately met the two boys who defiled and killed her," said Githinji.
