KAJIADO, KENYA: Deputy President William Ruto has asked Parliament and Judiciary to work together in service delivery to Kenyans and stop the turf wars.
Mr Ruto said the three arms of the Government should not work in isolation, saying it is their responsibility to ensure service delivery to the people of Kenya.
“All of us as leaders serving in either the Judiciary, Parliament or the Executive have been elected by the people with the aim of serving them as enshrined in the constitution and nothing short of that,” said Mr Ruto.
He said no leader was elected or appointed by bad luck or by accident to either judiciary or parliament and asked them to put aside their differences and take a common stand in serving Kenyans.

Mr Ruto said what is being experienced in judiciary and parliament is obvious problems which should be solved as soon as possible so as not to interfere with service delivery.
“The problems between Parliament and judiciary are obvious turf situations which should be solved as soon as possible and should not be allowed to interfere with government operations,” said Mr Ruto.
He said it is important that leaders respect the independence of the judiciary and parliament by appreciating the role each one of them plays in the common goal of serving Kenyans.
The Deputy President said there should be a framework where all leaders work together and respect each other’s institution so as to attain prosperity that Kenyans can share.
“All these institutions are tasked with the same responsibility to serve the people. What we want is harmony. These turf wars are completely unnecessary,”said Mr Ruto.
Speaking at Nkoroi PCEA church in Rongai in Kajiado County, Mr Ruto said leaders must work together in exploring ways of solving the challenges facing the people instead of undermining each other.
“It is our collective responsibility as leaders to work as a team so that this country can achieve the much needed prosperity,” said Mr. Ruto.
On insecurity, the Deputy President said Kenya and Ethiopia will work together in confronting the problem of terrorism.
Saying although it is the primary responsibility of the Government to ensure security for its citizens, Mr Ruto urged wananchi to play a leading role in the war against crime.
He said the Government was doing everything possible to equip and improve the welfare of security officers, urging Kenyans to support them in the fight against crime.
“Security matters are a collective responsibility where each one of us must participate if we are to get rid of criminal elements.
“We should always know our neighbours and expose those we suspect they engage in acts of lawlessness to police for the necessary action to be taken against them since police alone cannot tame crime without our support,” said Mr Ruto.
He said the national government will work closely with the county government of Kajiado in improving situation of roads in the area including construction of dual carriages to ease traffic jams and transportation problems in the area.
Mr Ruto also donated Sh1million in a funds drive he presided over to help in the construction of the church.
Kajiado North MP Joseph Manji, Senator Peter Mosotet and Governor David Nkedienye called on the ICC to dismiss the cases saying Kenyans have resolved to solve their own problems.
They said Kenyan have forgiven each other and moved on for the sake of peace and stability, saying it is time ICC dismisses the cases.
The leaders said ICC will not provide solution to problems facing Kenyans.
