It is shaping up to be a cold weekend, with low temperatures and rainfall expected in some parts of the country.
The Kenya Meteorological Department (MET) said rain is expected in parts of Nairobi County over the next 24 hours.
Areas of Roysambu, Ruaraka, Embakasi South, West and Central, and Kamukunji are “likely to be cold and cloudy with rainfall”.
Some parts of Rift Valley, Western, Nyanza, Central and Eastern regions will not be spared either, with bouts of rain expected.
“Rains are expected over several parts of Narok, Nyamira, Nakuru, Kericho, Nandi, Homabay, Nyeri, Kakamega, Vihiga, Busia, Bungoma, Kisumu, Kisii, Siaya, Bomet, Elgeyo Marakwet, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Trans Nzoia, Muranga, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru and Kiambu,” the weatherman said.

On August 10, MET also warned of overcast weather with storm and rain expected over the Highlands West of the Rift valley, the Lake Victoria basin, the South and Central Rift Valley, Northwest and Highlands east of the Rift Valley.
However, counties in the Northeast are likely to experience sunny and dry conditions, and strong winds to prevail in parts of the Coast in the next four days.
