Nyeri County Assembly Speaker John Kaguchia has confirmed that the Nyeri Governor and his driver have suffered serious injuries after the Tuesday early morning road crash.
"Council of Governors is in the process of airlifting his Excellency Wahome Gakuru from Thika Level 5 Hospital to Nairobi Hospital," read a statement from the Council of Governors.

In a statement, Council of Governors said they were in the process of airlifting Governor Gakuru from Thika Level 5 Hospital to Nairobi Hospital for further treatment.
