Youthful politician Meschak Kimutai Ruto is known in his entrepreneurship circles as a highly connected silent charmer. Well, this came in full display when he posted a photo of him on one knee in front of a chopper proposing to his girlfriend. “She said yes!” read the caption on his post sending social media into a frenzy as the photos went viral this week.
We have established that the lucky lady is known as Caren Ruto and the two love birds have been together for slightly over a year. “She’s been gushing about him since he swept her off her feet,” said a close source while describing their union.
According to our source, the two hired a chopper for a full day and flew to Magadi to "meet some business associates''. Little did she know that he’d be on one knee asking for her hand in marriage upon arrival. After she said yes, the two set up and popped champagne, which was served in traditional ‘mursik’ gourds. Though there are no wedding bells dates set yet, a mutual friend intimates it will happen "very soon."

On his social media platforms, Kimutai is seen posing with the ANC leader in a number of photos. Close sources have it that the young politician is working closely with the party.
After the post this week, Kimutai’s new development was met with mixed reaction with some applauding the pair as others castigated him claiming he is a ‘witty’ businessman. However, speaking to Standard Entertainment and Lifestyle, the businessman said he would not be reacting to his critics as “everyone is entitled to their opinions”.
Three years ago, Kimutai came into public limelight as allegations emerged that he was engaged to former Kirinyaga Woman Rep Winnie Njuguna’s daughter after which he hooked up with Carole Cherotich. As it seems, he has finally found the love of his life.
