Martha Karua mourns the death of her niece in grisly Mombasa Road accident

Martha Karua’s niece Marcia Wawira, also a student at Daystar University, passed away after she was involved in a grisly accident at Cabanas along Mombasa road. Marcia accompanied by four of her friends had left the Star of Excellence Awards (SOEA) that took place at Two Rivers mall and were on their way to Daystar Athi River when the accident took place.

According to a close source, they had tried overtaking but instead ended up hitting a trailer by the tyre, making the car spin then veer off the road.

Arnold, who was driving, lost his life on the spot. Marcia and the other three were taken to Shalom Hospital for medical attention. While two of them Maureen and Stephen who suffered minor injuries were discharged, Marcia and Derrick were transferred to Nairobi Hospital for further treatment. Marcia succumbed to death at the Nairobi Hospital ICU.

Her aunt Martha Karua relayed the information on her social media saying “Marcia Wawira Mwangi my beloved niece succumbed today to injuries from a road accident .She will 4ever live in our hearts #RIPMarcia”
