Police in Mtwapa, Kilifi County are investigating the circumstances under which a couple allegedly committed suicide in their residence, Dixel apartments.
According to neighbours, the two fell on a vehicle from the fifth floor and triggered the vehicle’s alarm which woke them, up at around 2 am Sunday morning.
Martina Mkare, a neighbour said they hurriedly moved to see the cause of the noise from the parking area only to find the two lying lifeless on the ground.
“We found two dead bodies lying on top of each other next to the car. One was totally naked and the other scantily dressed,” Mkare said.

Neighbpours say the two had moved in the apartment about a month ago and that some of them heard some struggle minutes before they were found dead.
Preliminary Investigations by police suggest the duo might have had a struggle prior to the incident as evidenced by blood spots in the house.
The bodies have been moved to the morgue awaiting post-mortem to establish the cause of their deaths.
