A 75-year-old man was yesterday charged in a Thika court with forgery and fraud.
David Nderi Kamau was arraigned before Thika Resident Magistrate VA Ogutu, and accused of forging documents to claim a disputed piece of land in Juja.
According to court documents, Mr Kamau presented a forged document to the Thika Land Registry claiming ownership to the land parcel No. Ruiru/Ruiru EAST BLOCK 2/2478.
The document had a fake signature belonging to one Frida Wanjiru Karanja.
Kamau denied the charges. His lawyer pleaded with the court for lenient bond terms, saying he was not a flight risk.
