A man was on Saturday hacked by unknown people at his house in Kiumoni village, Ndolo, in Kilungu.
Thomas Nahashon, 65, was reportedly attacked by a group of men armed with crude weapons while he was asleep.
“Unknown people, armed with pangas and clubs, invaded the home and cut him several times. He died on the spot,” area OCPD Zack Bitok said.
"We have launched investigations and will soon bring the attackers to book." The gang left the victim's wife and daughter with severe cuts.

They are admitted at Kilungu Hospital. Neighbours who responded to the family's distress calls caught up with one of the attackers and lynched him.
The police could not immediately establish the motive of the attack
