A governor in Mt Kenya region was forced to pay for branded advertisements after vehicle owners threatened to pluck off artworks selling his agenda.
The governor is reported to have ordered his aides to immediately pay of all owners of the branded vehicles including taxis with each earning Sh35,000 for the month of June.
Last week, the vehicles owners were reported to have held a meeting where a resolution was passed to engage another gubernatorial aspirant for branding advertisement.
They were on Friday paid their dues before they resumed their business. Branding of vehicles has been a lucrative business countrywide with aspirants from MCAs to governors investing millions of shillings to sell their image.
