Kenya is paying a heavy price due to corruption and drug abuse. While corruption is wasting the country's resources, drugs menace is destroying the lives of youthful and energetic citizens.
Very little is being done to rid the country of these vices. Only partial attempts have been made to tame the ills. Who will save the country from this self-inflicted pain?
The people of Kenya realising the dragons of drugs and graft were threatening national development, enacted Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity. This chapter was to deal with the two menaces once and for all.
Anyone vying for public office was supposed to be subjected to the chapter. But this was thwarted by greedy and selfish politicians.
