Kenyan based Kung Fu clubs received intense training on the sport from China-based Kung Fu masters.
The team of Ten Kung Fu masters from Beijing International Arts School conducted training for the Kenyan clubs at the KICC grounds in preparation for the StarTimes Kung Fu festival set to take place at the same venue tomorrow.
Local Kung Fu clubs from Kiambu, Muthurwa, Kangemi, Kayole and Majengo had an opportunity to sharpen their skills in Chinese Kung Fu – known as WuShu.
The visiting team of Kung Fu masters has won various Wushu championships individually as well as collectively in 2015 and 2016.
Chinese Kung Fu combines martial arts and other arts genres. “We are excited to have this team of Kung Fu experts in the country and are confident that the contribution they will have on the local teams will go a long way towards developing the sport in Kenya,” noted StarTimes Vice President Mark Lisboa.
