The hawkers in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) have increased due to unemployment.
Many are now operating on Tom Mboya and Moi avenues, blocking the walkways. People going about their daily activities are forced to slow down and find alternative ways, leading to time wastage.
Pickpockets also take advantage of the crowded streets.
The county government should enforce laws that prohibit trading within the CBD.
