The move by Public Service Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki to cancel tenders awarded for the National Youth Service when she took over shows that she is committed in the fight against corruption.
This is an indication that the CS will not take lightly those engaging in corruption but her interest remains with service delivery to Kenyans.
In the past, Ms Kariuki demonstrated her commitment while serving in the Agriculture ministry as principal secretary.
It is because of this that I feel President Uhuru Kenyatta took the right decision in appointing her to head the new docket.
From the look of things, it has become clear that the CS is the right person to ensure challenges facing youth and women will be solved.

Barely a month after taking over the office, Kariuki has put in place measures aimed at transforming public service, containing corruption and solving the challenges facing women and girls.
It is also interesting to learn that the CS has stopped disbursing billions of shillings to youths and women through banks, following complaints about high interest rates levied on the funds.
Her appointment to the ministry is a great boost to youth and women.
