Embattled Kisumu County Assembly Speaker Anne Adul was Monday morning arrested by officers from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) over graft allegations.
The officials also arrested Minority Leader Eddy Anayo, suspended Leader of Majority Samuel Ong'ow and Assembly Clerk Nelco Sagwe.
Drama ensued during the arrest of Ong'ow as he is said to have assaulted two officers who sustained injuries. The police officers later reported the matter at Awasi Police Station where they recorded statements.
Ong'ow then sought refuge at the County Assembly premises, within which the members enjoy immunity, forcing police to camp at the entrance. He was later arrested at taken to Railways police station where the rest are being held.
The four, were members of the County Assembly Serviced Board, are being investigated over claims of embezzlement of funds.
