Members of the county assembly have withdrawn an impeachment motion against Governor Nathif Adam.
The withdrawal follows a consultative meeting held on Sunday in Garissa by political and religious leaders, and elders together with the motion mover, the Bananey Ward Representative Mohamed Siyad.
The motion was to be tabled today for debate. Mr Siyad also agreed work closely with the Executive.
The MCAs had accused the Executive of violating the Constitution in the procurement process.
The closed door meeting resolved that the motion be withdrawn to give room for reconciliation.
