Devolution and Planning Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ann Waiguru is currently at the New York for the 58th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
The CS will address a conference Friday where she will show Kenya’s progress in achieving the UN Millennium Development Goals with special focus on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Kenya is the first country to reserve 30% of its procurement exclusively for women, youth and persons with disabilities.
Waiguru will outline the complimentary interventions created by the Kenyan Government to improve the socio-economic status of women.
