NAIVASHA, KENYA: NACADA chairman John Mututho has denied that he has been summoned by Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Ole Lenku over his performance.
This comes a day after Ole Lenku expressed his displeasure over the manner in which Mututho was handling affairs in the authority, the former Naivasha MP said he was not aware of the summons.
"I have just seen an SMS from one of the media houses that I have been summoned by Ole Lenku, and I want to say that those are rumors and should be treated as such,” he said.
This came as the board wars that have dogged the authority continued with Mututho insisting that the senior management had to step aside as audit continued.

Mututho said an audit report recommended that senior managers be sent on leave or allowed to step aside to allow for investigations.
Mututho said the board had asked three top officials to step aside voluntarily or else they will be forced to suspend them.
This follows claims that the authority may have lost close to Sh400M in fake licenses issued by the management.
The chairman said though it was not clear how much money could have been embezzled, it had emerged that there were glaring irregularities.
"We have asked the CEO and two other officials to step aside and allow the auditors complete their investigations and if they are found to be clean then they will come back and serve the people".
He said the audit report from the treasury had recommended the board sends the entire management on leave adding that the board was determined to clear the controversial issues to the public.
He denied that last week's board meeting ended in disarray noting that they had agreed to defer the issues to allow for consultations with the parent ministry.
