Nairobi 8th November 2013 (PSCU) All Government payments services will be done through the digital platform from April next year, President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced today.
Speaking at the Catholic University in Nairobi during the launch of IBM Research Lab, President Kenyatta said the digital platform will enhance effectiveness of Government procurement services and reduce corruption in offices.
“Let me take this opportunity to announce that as of next year, 1st April, in line with our process of digitizing Government there will be no more cash payment for Government services, said the President”.
The President thanked the IBM Corporation for choosing Kenya as location for its 12th Laboratory globally.

The President pledged his Government’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for research and innovation in science and technology.
He called on more investors to take advantage of Kenya’s legal and institutional frameworks that have been recalibrated to facilitate the use of the large pool of human resource and talent.
