Murang’a and Nyandarua ,Kenya:Police in Maragua town in Murang’a County are investigating the death of a butcher whose head had been smashed.
His assailants are also suspected to have attempted to steal from women who were heading to a market in the town yesterday morning.
Murang’a South Deputy OCPD Benson Musingi said they were yet to establish the motive of the murder but that the crime scene indicated there might have been a struggle.
In Nyahururu, Nyandarua County, police at the weekend netted 30 suspects amid complaints from the public following several house breaking incidents. They also recovered various household items stolen from a prison warder’s house.

Alphonse Njenga had lost his uniforms, boots and swagger canes together with his furniture, bedding and electronic equipment. “Sixteen among them have so far been directly linked with crime while we are still investigating the other 14,” said Nyandarua OCPD Benjamin Onsongo.
