The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has transferred several secondary school principals in Murang'a County.
Ruchu Girls High School Principal Virginia Wahome has been moved to Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School in Nyeri County, taking over from Jane Kiraguri, who is retiring. Ng'araria Girls High School Principal Esther Kariuki moves to Ruchu.
A long-serving principal at Rarakwa Girls Secondary School, Margaret Mutaga, has been moved to Ng'araria in Kandara.
TSC spokesman Kihumba Kamotho said the changes were meant to improve education standards. "When there is a retirement there must be changes to fill the gaps," said Kamotho. [Boniface Gikandi]
