Meanwhile, a state of the art media centre for Members of Parliament and parliamentary journalists has been completed and will be opened this morning.
It is equipped with computers and Internet for journalists to file stories from within Parliament and MPs’ press conferences.
Speaker Kenneth Marende said the centre was established to fulfil the Parliamentary Service Commission’s intention to facilitate public participation in parliamentary affairs. The Kenyan Parliamentary Magazine will also be launched today, Marende said.
