NAIROBI, KENYA: Nairobi County government has instructed police to secure Uhuru Park Grounds from planned National Super Alliance Coalition rally.
NASA is expected to make major announcement at the grounds which Nairobi County official says was not properly booked by the opposition.
Speaking in Bondo during the burial of anti-IEBC protest victims, NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga asked his supporters to wait for major announcement on the eve of repeat presidential poll.
“We are not fools. Listen to me very carefully on Wednesday, October 25. On this day, I will tell you how we will slay the cat,” he said without elaborating.
“I have already foreseen what is good for Kenyans and will ensure I dock this ship where it deserves to be and where it will benefit all Kenyans,” he said.
NASA planned to hold the meeting at Nairobi’s Uhuru Park however; Nairobi County Government said the coalition has not followed the procedures to secure the said grounds for their meeting
“They are therefore not allowed to hold any meeting of whatever nature at Uhuru Park October 25, 2017 without express authority and approval from the Nairobi City County Government,” said Leboo Ole Morintant Acting County Secretary.
