Today would have been Reginah Katar’s birthday. Reginah, the late wife to award-winning music producer Tedd Josiah passed on September last year. This was just months after she gave birth to their adorable daughter ‘Gummy bear’. Her death was as a result of low platelet count. Her platelet level fell below normal after delivery.
To celebrate her birthday, the single dad of one penned a long and emotional message to Reginah ‘in heaven’. This came hours after he ranted about how maternal health care is not given the depth and seriousness it deserves in Kenya. This was in regard to Reginah’s death.
NO CHILD SHOULD BE WITHOUT A MOTHER. It is such a disgusting feeling to know that had the health of #GummyBear’s ???????????????????? mother been as important after birth to the doctors as the injections and clinic appointments for the child then #MamaBear @reginahkatar would still be with us. Women who represent Kenyan women in politics say nothing apart from the cliche “maternal health care” stories of how women should deliver safely.... how about when they suffer low platelets months after delivery? A condition that vitamin K can solve. A condition that medics can clearly see and never EVER sensitise the public to? You can pay hundreds of thousands to a hospital and your health can still be at risk. Women need to boldly speak up cause one child without a mother is one child too much!

I once met an Angel a real angel ???????? from day one i knew she wasn’t from here, i could feel it in the meek, humble yet powerful spirit she has. With every single action she changed the man i thought i was to make me want better and desire to be better. She gave herself to me and allowed my little angel #HRH #GummyBear ???????????????????? to grow inside her. That is the most beautiful thing a woman can do for a man.
