Married women have rented tiny cubicles in Gikomba where they operate as sex workers while their husbands think they deal in second hand clothes businesses.

The Nairobian has learned that some married women have rented tiny cubicles in Gikomba where they operate as sex workers while their husbands think they deal in second-hand clothes businesses.

"A number of sex workers here come from other estates to hide their identities from family and friends, some of them are even married" Rita Mwikali a middle-aged hooker claimed.

Here a three-by-three house goes for between Sh1000 to Sh2000 making it affordable for the women who arrive as early as 7am to attract clients.

They perch on small stools from which they display their ‘wares’.

"Even those who operate at the City center have houses here, but the price is a bit cheaper her compared to town,” says Mwikali. “We don't charge more than Sh300 because our target clients are businessmen around Gikomba market, matatu drivers and conductors around" revealed Mwikali.
