Debra Sanaipei's wedding rumoured to cost millions

Even though the actual costs projected in the upcoming Debra Sanaipei and Michael Okwiri have not yet been disclosed, this week, a source told Pulse that the wedding will not go for anything below Sh5 million.

Wedding planners and other events organisers are working around the clock ahead of the April date with some of stuff to be used on the big day getting imported from London.

“It is a celebrity wedding. This is Debra Sanaipei, a former Miss Tourism and daughter of an influential family getting married to Michael Okwiri, one of the most decorated corporate CEO’s in the country. It has to be a show, a celebrity show,” our source, a close friend who is in the couple’s inner circle of rich friends told Pulse on Tuesday.

Since we broke the news of their marriage about five months ago, everyone has been trying to look relevant to gain favour with the two — especially suppliers who expect to gain from the financial windfall.

Debra, a former beauty queen is arguably the most famous Miss Tourism Kenya beauty the pageant has ever produced while Michael Okwiri has climbed the corporate scale to his current appointment as the vice-president in charge of corporate communications at Airtel Africa.
