Kenyan content creator Crazy Kennar is having a great time in London courtesy of Meta as he is one of the country's representatives to the EMEA Creators week.

The campaign dubbed 'Creators of Tomorrow' seeks to celebrate emerging talents using innovative approaches to video content and interactive entertainment across Meta's apps.

Taking to social media, Kennar shared a behind-the-scenes photo while in the company of TikTok star Khaby Lame, who enjoys over 152 million followers and 2.5 billion likes, making him the most popular user on the platform.

"This is a silent photo," Kennar captioned their selfie.

Kennar and radio presenter Kwambox are the only Kenyans representing the country at the Meta creator's week conference in London, United Kingdom. The two joined eight other content creators from Africa selected by the giant platform.

Meta said the Creators of Tomorrow were selected because "they're breaking out amongst their communities online, and showcase a best-in-class approach to video formats, technology and interactive entertainment," adding that the creatives will be "integral to the evolution of the metaverse."

"With this campaign, we aim to highlight creators who are innovating through tools such as Reels and short-form video content formats, as well as those who are leveraging, exploring new content formats such as AR / VR," said Moon Baz, Meta's creator partnerships lead in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.

"We are excited to work closely with these creators, and we're committed to helping them grow their audience, build a business and unlock new possibilities for the future as we build for the metaverse," Baz added.

In addition, Meta says it will closely work with the selected creators over the next year to help them expand their audiences and turn their passions into professions.
