Veteran Media personality Mwanaisha Chidzuga has revealed that shortly after she lost her job, she contracted Covid-19. Taking to social media, Mwanaisha disclosed the trying moments in her life as she celebrated her 37th birthday. According to her, such moments shaped her career and made her stronger. In an interview, the mother of four disclosed that she believed that it was time for her to take care of herself much better when she tested positive for coronavirus.

"I started having a fever, coughs, breathing complications and this prompted me to seek medical services. After getting tested for Covid-19, the results turned out to be positive. I believe this was a sign from God to take better care of myself," she stated.

Mwanaisha confidently stated that she recovered within two weeks under the home-based care program even though some members of her family remained worried.

"My father was worried that the virus could spread within the family, but to his surprise, within two weeks I had completely recovered," she affirmed.

However, she further added that despite testing positive, the pandemic disrupted the proceedings of her new initiative dubbed Dada2dada, which seeks to address women's day to day struggles.

"This year, though, it's different from other years. It has been tough as I've faced challenges, I have been tested and found myself in situations that I thought I would never be," she pointed out.

Adding to the list of the challenges she has faced this year, Mwanaisha narrated her near-fatal ordeal as she survived a road accident where her car lost control.

"During the beginning of the year, I survived an accident in Nairobi that saw my car lose control and veer off the road. The car was left a mangled wreck but thank God I lived to tell the tale," she noted.

Mwanaisha was recently in the spotlight after she pulled down photos of her husband, Danson Mungatana, who got arrested on allegations of defrauding a city woman. The media personality had posted a romantic message on her social media platforms where she wished the former Garsen MP a happy 50th birthday.
