Chadwick Boseman died “intestate" or without a will, according to documents. The Black Panther actor died aged 43 in August following a secret battle with colon cancer. His widow Simone Ledward filed a probate case at Los Angeles County on Thursday, according to PEOPLE.
This move to become an administrator would give her a limited authority over Chadwick's estate, reports suggested. His estate was estimated just shy of one million at $938,500, according to court documents seen by the magazine. Chadwick's parents Leroy and Carolyn Boseman were listed on the documents.
The family rushed to be by Chadwick's side before died. The statement read on Instagram : "It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. "Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.
