Journalist Joshua Arap Sang is back on radio after a seven-year hiatus.
The presenter who quit Kass FM following his crimes against humanity charges at the International Criminal Court (ICC) has joined Emo FM.
“Reported today but will be on air in two weeks time,” posted the radio executive who quit in 2012.
Also broadcasting in Kalenjin, the new vernacular station is owned by Media Max limited.
Speaking to the Standard in 2016, Sang disclosed that he quit his job at Kass FM after "trips to The Hague became too frequent”.

“It has been very difficult to work while the case is on. You can imagine, if I applied for a job while the matter was pending before the ICC, how would the employer evaluate my situation?
"Even co-workers would be uncomfortable. That is why I resigned from my former job at Kass FM. I love my broadcasting job so much that after ICC, I would not hesitate to take it up again,” he explained at the time.
Popular in the Rift Valley before the 2007 post-election violence, Sang ran a hugely successful show dubbed Lenee Emet (what is going on in the nation).
A show that resulted in the Hague-based court naming Sang as a person of interest over the 2007 post-election violence. Other ICC suspects were Uhuru Kenyatta, William Ruto, Henry Kosgey, Francis Muthaura, and Mohammed Hussein Ali .
Charges against Sang were confirmed in January 2012 and the trial opened in September 2013 but was acquitted in 2016 due to lack of sufficient evidence.
“I am just delighted that I have my freedom that I have been longing for the last six or seven years. God has seen us through today. I am so happy. That is what matters,” Sang said wiping tears from his eyes.I want to thank God, I want to thank my lawyers led by Counsel Kigen, they have done a wonderful job,” said Sang.
