Why steal a few bucks while you can get away with an entire ATM machine?
That’s the question a group of thieves might have asked themselves before using an excavator to steal a cash machine.
The incident, which was captured by CCTV cameras occurred on Sunday in Northen Ireland.
According to the garage owners where the incident occurred, the raid, which lasted just under five minutes was carried out by men wearing balaclavas.

The digger used in the incident was stolen from a construction site nearby before being driven to the garage.
“I want to appeal to anyone who was in the area and who may have witnessed the theft, or who saw the digger being driven to the scene, to contact us,” a police statement read.
According to police inspector Richard Thornton, it was the eighth ATM theft this year.
“If you hear machinery late at night or in the early hours please let us know. If you see any cars being driven in a suspicious manner close to where ATMs are located, please let us know,” Thornton told the public.
