Kisumu International Airport has been temporarily closed.
The airport which is the third busiest airport in the country has been closed down for the next ten days to facilitate scheduled repairs of the runway.
A press release by the Kenya Airports Authority stated that the civil works and widening of the runway will run from 18 to 28 March 2018.
However, flights scheduled from 06:45 am to 07:00 pm will be allowed to land at the airport on Monday before the runway’s total closure.
All passengers who wish to use the airport are advised to contact their respective airlines for guidance.
