Mombasa Governor Honorable Ali Hassan Joho is mourning the death of his nephew Abubakar Hussein. The four year old was diagnosed with cancer, when he was just a year old and has been fighting it for the last three years.
Governor Joho relayed the news on his social media, saying, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of my beloved nephew Abubakar Hussein, the charming four year old boy was diagnosed with Cancer and has been undergoing treatment for the last three years.
He put up a good fight for his life, and the Almighty has lifted the burden off his shoulders.”
Despite this being a somber moment for the Governor, some of his supporters did not shy away from citing that he could have used his position, influence and power to establish an institution that can help cancer patients well into the future. They said:
John Deere: “Unge establish cancer center angesaidika mapema. Do it now as a lesson to save fellow Kenyans pwani wasio hata uwezo wa kusema kama wewe.”
