Kenyan presenter of BBC daily African news Programme Sophie Ikenye is a celebrated woman in Africa and beyond.
The presenter who joined BBC in 2009, as a presenter on Focus of Africa on BBC World Service Radio has been named in the inaugural list of 100 Most Influential Young Africans.
Soon after the announcement, a number of Kenyans went on social media to congratulate her on her huge achievement.
“Congrats Sophie for making it on to our inaugural list of 100 Most Influential Young Africans #MIYA100 Sophie Ikenye,” one of her fans by the name Suzana Ogola said.
