Through her Facebook page, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s daughter Rosemary Odinga has apologised to Tanzanians after she stated that the Olduvai Gorge archaeological site is located in Kenya.
In the August 18 2015 speech at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, she said in part: “I had been taught, that the oldest fossil was found in Kenya, a place called Olduvai Gorge”.
This did not go down well with Tanzanians as they launched an online petititon demanding an apology from Raila’s eldest daughter. Thus far, the petition has obtained about 17000 signatures
