A group of journalists invited to cover Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s graduation party on December 3 at a high-end hotel in Karen stormed out agitated.

The former Vice president graduated with a Master’s degree from the University of Nairobi on December 2.

Journalists claimed they were kept for two hours waiting for Kalonzo and his guests, only to be denied seats.

“They said there were no seats for journalists. It was harsh after waiting outside for two hours,” said one of the journalists. The hotel management allegedly barred the scribes from the facility until Kalonzo’s handler intervened.

“A Kalonzo staffer ordered us to vacate the seats. We decided to ignore the whole event. Why did they invite us, the keep us waiting then humiliate us?” an agitated journalist posed.
