Students at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology want to help their colleagues who cannot pay fees to stay in college.
The group led by Tracy Ndunge, the reigning Miss JKUAT, seeks to cushion needy students who cannot clear fees through donations from comrades and well-wishers.
Tracy told Campus Vibe, “We are forming a committee to help raise money for students who have been unable to get back to college.”
George Kamau, the Organising Secretary said the Dean had allowed them to collect money from college mates for this cause. “The response from students has been good. In the last one week, we have collected Sh14,700 ahead of the official launch early next year,” said Kamau.
