While the eyes of the nation were firmly glued on the
proceedings at Kabarak during the late Mzee Daniel Moi’s final journey, one
hawk-eyed Kenyan could not help but marvel at the beauty of Baringo Senator
Gideon Moi’s daughter Lulu.
Lulu was called to the podium when her father experienced
difficulties in reading her thanksgiving note and this was a blessing in
disguise for one Kennie Balo.
Perhaps awed by her eloquence and simple but neat hairdo, Balo revealed that it was love at first sight for him and he was willing to part with 1000 bulls.
Through a letter that we came across online, Balo, who is a
journalism student, described Lulu as the ‘most beautiful lady in Kenya’ whose
photos had driven him ‘crazy.’
"Dear Lulu, I have come to realise you're the most
beautiful lady in Kenya. My attention was drawn by subsequent consistent crazy
photos of you today.
“What gives me hope is that you're single and not dating. You would think of me as crazy for making this proposal to you but believe me this is not a random thought but a serious decision which I have taken today,” he wrote.
Balo said that he has never been in a relationship before
and now believes Lulu is his missing rib.
“I know when you see this and see my pictures you will love
me but the decision of spending the entire lifetime together will be tough for
you,” he said.
Balo asked Lulu to carefully consider his proposal and give
him feedback.
“I will be waiting desperately and will respect whatever
decision you take in the end [SIC].
“Your style of smiling takes me to decades when love was
meant to be supernatural,” he stated.
Balo added that he intends to visit the Moi family with 1000 bulls to declare his interest.
