The DCI on Tuesday stated that seven gang members who had trailed a victim from a bank in Buruburu had been arrested.
According to a statement seen by Ureport, on Saturday 11, January 2020, the gang trailed a man who had withdrawn money at KCB Buruburu to a yard along Ngong Road where he intended to buy a car.
They then parked next to the victim’s car and broke in when the victim went to be shown around.
“The gang had trailed the victim from KCB Buruburu to the yard where he intended to purchase a car.

“Having parked the vehicle he was using, the victim locked it leaving the money therein as he went to be shown around,” said the DCI.
Adding: “The gang, who also posed as customers, parked alongside the victim's car before breaking in & disappearing with the money, but were caught on cctv cameras.”
CCTV analysis revealed their faces and they were later identified and arrested. They were:

IAN KIBE KINYUA AKA "KIBE".
The gang has been operating in major towns using different motor vehicles, some of which are hired & guised with fake number plates.
