Kenyan athlete David Rudisha was involved in a road accident at Kegogi area along the Keroka-Sotik road.
Rudisha's car, a blue Landcruiser V8 collided head-on with a bus belonging to Easy Coach that was heading to Nairobi on Saturday night.
It is not clear whether Rudisha was alone in the car at the time of the accident.
Police say he was treated at the Keroka Sub County Hospital and discharged.

The athlete who is a Chief Inspector recorded a statement at Keroka Police Station, accompanied by close relatives.
Rudisha was headed to his rural home in Kilgoris, Narok County.
