What really informed the decision to deactivate the social media pages of President Uhuru Kenyatta?

The explanation that someone had accessed the accounts without authority might not be all. 

Multiple sources at the house in the hill have told The Grapevine that an avalanche of negative feedback on posts made by the President could be the reason for the suspension of the accounts.

On the day the accounts were pulled down hundreds of Kenyans had made unsavory remarks on an update by the President on Facebook.

This is understood to have been the reason that led to the suspension of the social media pages.

A section of the staff are now wondering why close aides of the President Kenyatta cannot withstand seeing their boss getting criticized by the online community.
