It was 'a storm in a teacup' that was punctuated by a series of political brouhaha between ANC Secretary-General Barrack Muluka and Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri who had been invited to discuss corruption on KTN News.

Irked by a barrage of accusations on KTN News' The Big Story show, Ngunjiri was unsparing: "…maybe next time you are calling me, call me with someone who is elected…"

As the storm built up, Muluka declared Ngunjiri was not elected. "If he wants to get personal, let's get personal," said Barrack Muluka.

The first few seconds were mere canary in the mine as the Bahati MP told Linda Oguttu, who moderated the discussion, to “bring him to the studio with someone who is not a failure."

Muluka had earlier placed a condition to Linda – never call me for a discussion with 'someone who didn't go to school.'

The two gentlemen were discussing the mystery surrounding construction of Arror and Kimwarer multi-purpose dam projects in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Ngunjiri, who has been defending Deputy President William Ruto against alleged involvement in the dams' scandal, also took time to accuse Opposition leader Raila Odinga of misleading President Uhuru Kenyatta.
